పంటలు అందరూ పండిస్తారు. పంటల్ని ఎక్కువ లాభాలు తెచ్చిపెట్టే విధంగా కొందరే కృషి చేస్తారు. అలాంటి వారే పంట దిగుబడులు, వాటికి ధరలు అధికంగా పొందుతూ లాభాలు గడిస్తారు. వ్యవసాయాన్ని వ్యాపార దృష్టితో చేపడితేనే ప్రస్తుత కాలమాన పరిస్థితుల్లో మనుగడ కష్టం అవుతుంది. అలాంటి ఇబ్బందులు తలెత్తకుండా ఉండాలంటే బీర, సొరకాయలను నేల మీద కంటే పందిరిపై సాగు చేస్తే మరింత ఫలసాయంగా, లాభదాయకంగా ఉంటుంది. పందిరిపై బీర, సొరకాయ పంటల సాగు విషయాలు చూద్దాం.
పందిరి కూరగాయల సాగుతో ఏడాది పొడవునా దిగుబడులు సాధించవచ్చు. ప్రస్తుతం రంగారెడ్డి జిల్లా పూర్వపు మహబూబ్ నగర్ జిల్లాలోని ఆమనగల్లు మండలం హేమాజీపూర్ పరిధిలోని గుండేడులో ఆదర్శ రైతు విశ్వనాథరాజు పందిరిపై కూరగాయల సాగులో మంచి ఫలితాలు సాధిస్తున్నారు. పశ్చిమ గోదావరి జిల్లా భీమవరానికి చెందిన విశ్వనాథరాజు 2002లో ఐదు ఎకరాలు కొనుగోలు చేసి పందిరి, బీర, కాకర సాగు ప్రారంభించారు. తాను అవలంబించిన పందిరి సాగులో లాభాలా కనిపించడంతో క్రమేపీ మరికొన్ని ఎకరాల భూమిని కౌలుకు కూడా పందిరి పంటల సాగు చేస్తున్నారు. ముందుగా విశ్వనాథరాజు 2001లో తొలిసారిగా ద్రాక్ష తోటలు నిర్వహించారు. హైదరాబాద్ లో కూరగాయలకు ఉన్న డిమాండ్ గురించి తెలుసుకున్న తర్వాత తన ద్రాక్ష పందిళ్లపై క్రమక్రమంగా కూరగాయల సాగు కోసం వినియోగించడం ప్రారంభించారు.
సాధారణంగా పాదు జాతి కూరగాయలను చాలా మంది నేల మీదే సాగు చేస్తారు. నేల మీద పాదు జాతి కూరగాయలను సాగు చేస్తే.. గాలి, వెలుతురు బాగా సోకదు. దాంతో చీడ పీడల బెడద పాదులు ఎక్కువ అవుతుంది. దాంతో పంట దిగుబడి కూడా పెద్దగా ఉండకపోవచ్చు. వర్షాలు ఎక్కువగా కురిసినప్పుడు పాదుజాతి పంటలపై ఆశలు ఆవిరైపోతుంటాయి. పందిరి విధానంలో అలాంటి సమస్యలు ఉండవు. మొక్కలు ఆరోగ్యంగా పెరుగుతాయి. దిగుబడి కూడా ఐదు నుంచి ఆరు రెట్లు ఎక్కువ వస్తుంది. అంటే ఎకరానికి 25 నుంచి 30 వేల కాయలు పండుతాయి. నేలపైన సొరకాయ సాగు చేస్తే ఎకరానికి ఐదు నుంచి ఆరు వేల కాయల వరకు మాత్రమే దిగుబడి వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది. పైగా పందిరి విధానంలో కూరగాయల సాగు కోసం ఖర్చులు కూడా చాలా తక్కువ అవుతాయి.
విశ్వనాథరాజు పీహెచ్ఎస్ వారి సొరకాయలు సాగుచేస్తున్నారు. వాటిలో కూడా పీహెచ్ఎస్ లాంగ్ సొరకాయల్ని ఆయన పండిస్తున్నారు. సొరకాయ విత్తనాలు నాటుకోవడానికి 17 అడుగులకు ఒక లైన్ వేసుకోవాలి. ఇలా వేసుకున్న సాళ్లలో ఒక సాలు విడిచి మరో లైన్ లో సొర, బీర, కాకర విత్తనాలు పెట్టుకోవాలని విశ్వనాథరాజు చెప్పారు. ఒక పంట తీసిన తర్వాత ఆ మొక్కలు తీసిన చోటనే కొత్తగా విత్తనాలు పెడితే కొన్ని రకాల శిలీంద్రాల వల్ల ఇబ్బందులు ఎదురవుతాయి. ముందు పంటలో విడిచిపెట్టిన లైన్ లో వెనువెంటనే కొత్త విత్తనాలు నాటుకోవచ్చు. ఇలా చేయడం వల్ల ప్రతి లైన్ కు ఎనిమిది నుంచి తొమ్మిది నెలల విశ్రాంతి దొరుకుతుంది. ఆ సమయంలో శిలీంద్రాలను నివారించుకుని, తదుపరి పంటకు ఆ లైన్ కూడా అన్ని విధాలా సిద్ధం చేసుకోవచ్చు.
పందిరి సాగులో కూరగాయల మొక్కలను రెండు నుంచి రెండున్నర అడుగుల దూరం పాటించాలి. ఇలా చేసుకుంటే ఎకరం నేలలో వెయ్యి నుంచి 1200 మొక్కలు నాటుకోవచ్చు. దీని వల్ల విత్తనం ఖర్చు కూడా బాగా తగ్గుతుంది. ఆ మేరకు నిర్వహణ ఖర్చు కూడా తగ్గిపోతుంది. కొందరు రైతులు ఎకరం భూమిలో 600 గ్రాముల నుంచి కిలో విత్తనాల వరకు నాటుకుంటారు. ఎక్కువ మొక్కలు ఉంటే ఎక్కువ దిగుబడి వస్తుందనేది వారి అపోహ మాత్రమే అంటారు విశ్వనాథరాజు. పందిరి జాతి విత్తనాలను సరిపడినంత దూరంగా నాటితే మొక్కలకు కావల్సినంత సూర్యరశ్మి, గాలి సోకుతుంది. తద్వారా పాదు ఏపుగా ఎదుగుతుంది.
సొర, బీర, కాకర పంటలను నేలమీద పండించినప్పుడు కాయలు నాణ్యత తగ్గిపోతాయి. వంకర్లు తిరుగుతాయి. ఒక పక్క తెల్లగా మరో పక్క పచ్చగా ఇలా మచ్చలు మచ్చలుగా కనిపిస్తాయి. ఇలాంటి కూరగాయలకు మార్కెట్లో డిమాండ్ అంతగా ఉండదు. సరైన ధర కూడా పలకదు. దగ్గర దగ్గరగా పందిరిజాతి మొక్కల్ని పెంచినప్పుడు ఎకరం భూమిలో ఐదు నుంచి ఆరు వేల కాయల వరకు మాత్రమే దిగుబడి వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది. అదే పందిరి విధానంలో సాగుచేస్తే.. కాయలు వంకర్లు తిరగవు. తెలుపు, పచ్చ లాంటి మచ్చలు ఉండవు. కాయ అంతా ఒకు రంగులో ఉండి నీట్ ఉండడం వల్ల మార్కెట్లో డిమాండ్, ధర కూడా బాగా వస్తాయి. నేల మీద పండించిన కాయల కన్నా రెట్టింపు ధర పలుకుతుంది.
ద్రాక్ష పందిర్లు ఉన్న పొలాన్ని కొని, లేదా కౌలుకు తీసుకుంటే పందిళ్ల కోసం ప్రత్యేకంగా ఖర్చు చేయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉండదు. అలాంటి భూమికి లీజు కాస్త ఎక్కువే ఉంటుంది. అయినప్పటికీ వచ్చే ఆదాయం, లాభం ముందు అదేమీ అంత భారం అనిపించదని విశ్వనాథరాజు చెప్పారు. పందిళ్లు గుడెసె ఆకారంలో ఉంటే పాదులను పాకించడం మరింత సులువుగా ఉంటుంది. కాయలను కోసుకోవడం కూడా చాలా సులువు అవుతుంది.
పందిరి విధానంలో కూరగాయల సాగు చేసే వారు విత్తనం నాటిన తర్వాత ప్రతి మొక్కను మూడు ఆకులు వచ్చినప్పటి నుంచి దాని పక్కనే ఒక కర్రను పాతుకుని దాన్నుంచి ఒక శ్రుతిలీ కట్టి పందిరికి ముడివేయాలి. మొక్క పెరుగుతున్న కొద్దీ దానికి వస్తున్న కొమ్మలు, పూత, పింది ఉన్నా కత్తిరించుకుంటూ పందిరి మీదకు పాకించుకోవాలి. ఇలా ఒక్కో మొక్క పందిరి మీదకు వెళ్లేందుకు సుమారు 40 నుంచి 50 రోజులు పడుతుంది. 50 రోజుల తర్వాత పంట కూడా మొదలువుతుంది. సస్య రక్షణ విషయానికి వస్తే.. మార్కెట్లో దొరికే ట్రాసర్ లేదా కొరాజిన్ లాంటివి, తెగుళ్లు వస్తే అమిస్టార్, కేబ్రియోటాప్ లాంటి వాటిని స్ప్రే చేస్తే సమర్థవంతంగా నిర్మూలన అవుతాయి.
పందిరి సాగు విధానంలో ఎరువుల విషయానికి వస్తే కూరగాయ పంటలకు పశువుల ఎరువు వాడితేనే ఫలితం మరింత ఎక్కువగా ఉంటుంది. అది కూడా ఆవుపేడ, గోమూత్రం లాంటి వాటితో కలగలిన సహజసిద్ధ ఎరువైతే మరింత లాభదాయకంగా ఉంటుంది. పశువుల ఎరువు ఎకరానికి 40 నుంచి 50 టన్నులు ఒకసారి వేసుకుంటే ఏడాది అంతా సరిపోతుంది. మొక్కలు ఆరోగ్యంగా ఉంటాయి. దిగుబడి కూడా అధికంగా వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉంటుంది. అదే రసాయన ఎరువులు వినియోగిస్తే.. పది, పదిహేను రోజులే మొక్కలు ఆరోగ్యం కనిపిస్తాయి. ఆ తర్వాత వాడిపోతాయి. ప్రతి పదిహేను రోజులకు మళ్లీ మళ్లీ రసాయన ఎరువుల వాడాల్సి ఉంటుంది. తద్వారా ఖర్చు పెరుగుతుంది. కూలీల అవసరం, వారికి ఇచ్చే కూలి డబ్బులు కూడా అధికంగానే ఉంటాయి. ఆపైన సాగులో డ్రిప్ ఇరిగేషన్ విధానం ఉంటే.. మొక్క అవసరాన్ని బట్టి మూడు 19 లు, 0:0:50 లాంటి లిక్విడ్ ఫెర్టిలైజర్ నేరుగా అందజేసుకోవచ్చు.
పందిరి విధానంలో సొరకాయలు పండిస్తే.. కాయకు ఐదు నుంచి 10 రూపాయల ధర పలికినా లాభమే కాని నష్టం ఉండదని విశ్వనాథరాజు చెప్పారు. ఆపైన ఎంత ధర వచ్చినా లాభం పెరుగుతూనే ఉంటుందన్నారు. ఒక సొరకాయకు సరాసరిన రూ.10 ధర పలికినా.. 25 నుంచి 30 వేల కాయలు దిగుబడి వస్తే.. రూ. 3 లక్షల ఆదాయం ఉంటుంది. పందిరి విధానంలో సొరకాయ సాగుకు విత్తనం ఖర్చు నుంచి వాటిని నాటుకోవడం, కర్రలు పాతి శ్రుతిలీలు కట్టించడం, నీరు, ఎరువులు, కాయల కోత, మార్కెట్ కు తరలించడం, పొలానికి కౌలు అన్నీ కలుపుకుని ఎకరానికి ఖర్చు లక్షన్నర వరకు ఉంటుంది. అంటే.. ఎకరం పొలంలో సొరకాయలు పందిరి విధానంలో పండిస్తే.. లక్షన్నర రూపాయలు నికర లాభం ఉంటుందని విశ్వనాథరావు వివరించారు.
